Distilled in Kentucky and finished in Texas in new char American white oak barrels. Aged for a minimum of 3 years. This “juice” was distilled in Kentucky, barreled and aged for 2 years. The barrels then made their way to Texas to spend a year maturing in our barrelhouse.
While Huddie “Lead Belly” Leadbetter was not born in Texas he spent his time honing his craft in Deep Ellum. Similar to the “King of the 12-string”, our whiskey is not originally from Texas but spent its time finishing and maturing in the same neighborhood. The Texas summer heat has brought another level of oak to our bourbon that we are proud to bear the Lead Belly name.
